International Women’s Day (8th March)
The International Women;s Day was celebrated by Jharkhand Swabhiman at Mahespur Block of Pakur district this year. We had planned for local fest with the local people that included traditional dance performance by the young local girls and that followed by a singing competition in the local language. A small speech by volunteer of Jharkhand Swabhiman Mr. Vishal Raj Chourasia was made to let the women and girls know their rights. The women were made to promise that they would not allow any evil such as killing of girl child, early marriage, trafficking, girl drop out from schools and other related to girl or women prosper in the village or block.
